The image and the product it's based on doesn't match.

I bought the files that this project was based on, hoping to have the knuckles that is on this GitHub.
But neither the knuckles that are bent nor the pinky finger button was not included in the base project and neither here.

Could you either add the missing files here for the towers and left finger or tell us which one it really is based on?

The files and LCD here otherwise is awesome!

Hi, I'm sorry to hear that the upstream project has changed and is selling different files now. Unfortunately I can not provide files that I have not created myself here. Maybe you can ask upstream if they can provide you with the old version.

Anyway, thank you for letting me know. I have updated the README accordingly.

If you find a way to legally obtain the missing files, then please let me know, so future users can find the info here.

Hi everyone (and hi 9R first of all, I want to say that I really appreciate your work; I would have appreciated being informed before the publication).

I am the author of the referenced guide. Since this project derivation is causing confusion among users, I’m writing to clarify an important matter once and for all.
The model for this project is distributed under a specific editorial license, clearly stated on the guide page. The use of my models, as well as any models derived from them, is strictly limited to personal use only. Modification and redistribution, whether private or commercial, are not permitted by the license.

Public Git repositories are generally intended for free and open projects, not for projects protected by specific licenses (including editorial licenses).

Additionally, if the guide is frozen at a specific point in time, this is a deliberate and well-defined choice. It is not meant to go against the enthusiast community, of which both you and I are part. However, it is important to clarify that the guide and all related editorial material do not include, and will never include, versions similar to the more recent models currently on the market.
The main reason is that the updated models are protected under an international WIPO license; any shared version of such parts, being inspired by a registered design, may constitute a patent infringement.

That said, this repository should therefore contain electronics-related material only 😉

I hope this clarifies the situation sufficiently. If you’d like to discuss this further, I’m available for additional clarification, including on the official support server.

Hello AlPankish. That is a lot of text about the licence of your guide, which is not part of the repo, while the main question of this issue stays unanswered:

Are previous reversions of you design available to your current and future customers or do they only receive the latest version after paying your mandatory "donation"? If the latter is the case I will remove the link to you project so users of this repo do not spend money in vain.

All that text already contains the answers you are looking for, where i wrote “...the guide is frozen at a specific point in time...”
The date is clearly indicated in the guide, which I assume you have read since it concerns the mentioned upstream project :
UPDATE 21 March 2021: The project contents have been updated to a better and more ergonomic version....

This means that the files of the project (YouTube) distributed through the official guide, and Gumroad have not changed since 2021, and will not change. Any future updates, if released, will be provided for free. At the moment, the only update concerns the layout of the web page, not the models.

Therefore, any project based on the original files obtained from the official sources mentioned above will remain fully compatible for users who acquire the files from the same official sources.

Conversely, users might come across interesting forks, but these are likely based, unknowingly, on non original distributions, which is in complete contrast to what was clearly explained earlier.
