The major changes in this release include:

• Deprecations and removals:
  • Actions: release-pypi-public and release-pypi-test actions have been deprecated.
  • Inputs: some previously deprecated inputs have now been completely removed. Those scheduled for removal in v12 now emit an ERROR-level deprecation notice in the logs.
• Extended support for uv: for uv-based projects, actions now automatically install your project dependencies from the lockfile when detected.
• Reproducible action runs: all direct and transitive tooling dependencies of the actions are version-locked, making runs reproducible, reducing supply chain risks, and preventing the occasional breakage of actions behavior by transitive dependencies' updates.
• Extended support for poetry: check-licenses action now uses Poetry for installing the project (and its dependencies) for Poetry-based projects, aligning with the installation behavior of other actions.
• New action: doc-deploy-custom-path action has been added to support documentation deployment to subdirectories.
• Improved documentation: all actions examples now also document minimum GitHub permissions required to run them.
