would love that too. I.e. I have calendars of some yearly memorial days and one of public holidays. I would prefer neither of those providers to get a hourly ping from my phone (privacy/data minimisation). Also syncing these takes quite long (>15s each), so it’s probably also a noticable waste of battery if the phone’s CPU can’t be in deep sleep while waiting for that and needlessly processing them. Syncing once a year would absolutely be sufficient for these, but I do need some calendars synced at least hourly. |

indeed, I would like this too! I have for example the calendar of school holidays, which I don't need to have actualisized regularly. Then I have my wife's calendar which I need to be actualisized multiple times per day. So, I would appreciate it so much to be able to set actualisation intervals for single subscriptions. Have a nice day! |

The largest complexity of this is how Android handles recurrent work (scheduled sync). Battery optimizations are harder and harder, and I think it would be pretty much impossible to have one schedule per calendar (just because Android would refuse to schedule tat many jobs). The only approach that comes to my mind is to have a single worker scheduled for the least amount of time configured (so as little as 15 minutes) and when running sync, check which calendars should be synchronized, and which ones don't. However, I already see some problems with this, and I don't think whether the risk overcomes the benefits. |
Uh oh!

At the moment, you can only set an interval affecting all subscriptions. It would be nice to be able to overwrite the interval for specific calendars. I have e.g. a work calendar subscription which should be updated as often as possible (i.e. every hour) and others where once a day or even longer would suffice.
A global interval (as it currently is) with the possibility to change it at every subscription would be very useful!
