New GitHub Project Management Features

https://github.blog/changelog/2024-10-01-evolving-github-issues-public-beta/#%f0%9f%93%81-organize-your-work-with-issue-types This is an interesting read especially, and we have a lot of these features in this org now.

@nospam2998: My general approach is "KISS" and I prefer slow as snails, gradual, calm changes. It would be nice to write up a list of however many ideas and pick only one idea to do first.

I quite like the idea of tweaking some templates and automation around these new issue types instead of labels, and so on.

@w0rp Slow is key. Adapting features and modifying workflows must add value to be worthwhile. Most of what I see in the linked documentation seems aimed at adding administrative busywork, but some could be purposefully used. Will get back to exactly how once I have an idea worth presenting.

Apologies for the delay in answering. I reinstalled my macbook with Linux, for better hardware support they said… Yet unlike with FreeBSD where the YubiKey just worked, using the popular operating system effectively locked me out of GitHub during these past months.

While logging in again I switched my username and stuff, as it seems this account might live for longer than this forge deserves.

I am still alive. All GitHub issues now have types.
