Successful operation of QAT Hardware (QAT_HW) acceleration requires a QAT Hardware driver appropriate for the platform and OS listed below. QAT Software (QAT_SW) acceleration requires the optimized software libraries Intel® Crypto Multi-buffer library and intel-ipsec-mb. Depending on the use case, a cryptographic library such as OpenSSL, Tongsuo (BabaSSL), or BoringSSL must be installed with a QAT_HW driver, QAT_SW libraries, or both.
