Is it possible for this extension to build a maven project without access to the internet?

I've ceated a maven project using VSCode in my laptop (Windows 10). It works well.
But when I copied this project to another PC (Windows 7) in the intranet(internet is not accessible) and tried to open it in VSCode, some errors came out to the Language Support for Java output panel:

I tried to execute maven commands like mvn -s path/to/settings.xml install -f path/to/pom.xml -U and they worked.
I set a mirror for all repos in my maven's settings.xml file.

So this extension always uses maven central repo regardless of the mirror set in settings.xml, and can't work in intranet, does it?
