How come SDKMAN doesn't offer an easy machine-readable output like JSON?
#1559
I have recently started using SDKMAN and I love how easy it is to install SDKs. I have checked this repo and sdkman-cli-native, and unless I'm mistaken there is no way to get output like JSON or other alternatives that are easily machine-readable.
I started using SDKMAN in one of my orchestration bash scripts, which automatically finds what major Java version the project asks for (e.g: 25) and then uses sdk list java to find all available versions of GraalVM CE and picks the latest one (e.g: 25.3.4+1.r25-graalce).
The way I do it right now is by piping the output to awk and filtering. It works.
I'm curious how come there is not an easy format option like sdk list java --format json or sdk list java -o json. A nicely sorted output would be perfect for this scenario. I've not used SDKMAN for very long, so I may be missing something, but I was taken by surprise that such an option is not available.
