This PR cannot be merged as-is because @graphql-hive/gateway does not support graphql v17.

The gateway's peer dependency is graphql: ^15.9.0 || ^16.9.0 (even in the latest v2.9.0). graphql v17 has several breaking changes that would break the gateway:

GraphQLError constructor changed from positional args to options object -- used extensively in Hive Gateway/Mesh internals
Removed graphql/subscription subpath export
Type system changes (removed enums like KindEnum, TokenKindEnum)
subscribe() return type changed from always-Promise to PromiseOrValue

This should be revisited once @graphql-hive/gateway adds official graphql v17 support.
