The following wiki will contain a bit of a sporadic mishmash of relevant information related to the fireplaces and their remotes. I'll try and do a proper wiki in the future, but for now this will suffice.
Thanks to /u/rioachim over on reddit for the following insight.
It appears that there are many fireplaces sold under different brands (not just Charlton & Jenricks, though they seem to be the most popular I can find) use two different types of remotes, and their remote functions are slightly different.
Tuya enabled fireplaces have the 2-FSK remote which are applicable to the following models:
