Hey, I'm Romit Sharma

I'm a 19-year-old Android developer from Amritsar, Punjab.

I build Android apps with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, Room, Firebase, and Kotlin Multiplatform.

Right now I'm focused on building real projects deeply and understanding the engineering behind them.

Current Project

Sync360

Sync360 is a Kotlin Multiplatform local-network nearby-device sharing app.

Current Android milestone:

  • Android devices discover each other on the same WiFi
  • sender creates a text offer
  • receiver can accept or decline
  • accepted text is transferred locally
  • receiver can copy the received text

This project is helping me learn:

  • Android NSD / mDNS
  • Ktor client and server
  • local network request-response flow
  • Kotlin Multiplatform boundaries
  • Compose Multiplatform
  • MVVM / UDF screen state
  • Koin dependency injection

File transfer, progress, storage, desktop, iOS, and security are future work.
