Total Embodied Emissions question

The following question was raised on the GSF Movement Platform in the SCI Fundamentals course:

Thank you for explaining the SCI equation. Does the TE (Total embodied emissions) consider the disposal of the hardware at the end of its lifespan?

Also, it's mentioned that the TE data is provided in Product Data Sheets or needs to be modelled. Procuring hardware manufactured from low-carbon energy sources can be another approach to reduce M when possible.
