• New opt-in: tab_bar_edge now accepts left/right to render vertical tabs (previously only top/bottom). Config currently sets tab_bar_edge top with tab_bar_style powerline (kitty/.config/kitty/kitty.conf:17-18). Not required, but worth a look if vertical tabs appeal -- no other changes needed to opt in.

fish 4.8.1 and lazygit v0.63.1 are both regression-fix-only releases (no new/changed/removed options) and touch nothing in .config/fish/ or .config/lazygit/ -- no findings to report for either.
