Reduce welcome tab padding

could we reduce the padding while here?

we waste a lot of space for no reason.

This isn't about "padding". It's about effective use of the space.

• (1) The sidepane isn't needed in the Welcome tab, but it still shows if it has been opened in a library.
• (2) The Welcome to JabRef title actually needs more space above. This may only matter when no tabs are open
• (3) Adding space above the "Title" would push everything else down, taking important space from the panels on the right (3 and 4)
• (3 and 4) The Start and Recent sections, or for that matter, even "project" files could occupy the sidepane space, making room for the other panels to be positioning in separate columns. In other words, maybe a three-column layout would work.

Now that I thought of it, making the Welcome tab into a "Home" page with an IDE-style file tree in the sidepane is another idea to put in the melting pot.

the current weird 'truncate at 35 chars' is a very bad solution, especialy on widescreens:

better now, but we can still optimize it a bit more. Either we wrap the link or we will use more space from the left.
We still align the content to the right.
