Is your suggested enhancement related to a problem? Please describe, or link another Issue.
A quick way to directly launch java, alike Prism's shortcut feature, or projects like Moony, cheatbreaker:// and LunarCli,
it'd be really refreshing to skip having to load a web browser to launch the game.
with option to choose a server to join on launch (presets à la moony?)
an option to opt-out from checking for updates (e.g. adding -u)
and useable from both the terminal and the more convenient Run (Windows-R) dialog

Adding shortcuts to PATH / registering a local protocol like oc://launch?ver=1.8.9&srv&modpack=pvp&update=false (whith presets/shortcuts to cut out all that fluff)
