Hi Lexie!

Have you picked a license for your work yet? I'd like to share your work with others, but I want to make sure I understand how it is licensed and how to give attribution.

Switch Pyomo uses a permissive license (Apache v2) that lets anyone do anything they want with the code, while preventing people from sabotaging the project with patent treachery. If you use Apache v2 for this GUI, then it could easily get bundled up with Switch Pyomo.

You could also use a copyleft license like GPL that prevents people from deploying proprietary derivate works, or AGPL extends GPL to web services. A combination of two licenses for related software make license terms harder to explain to people, and would prevent us from bundling the GUI and Switch-Pyomo without relicensing Switch-Pyomo (which we would prefer not to do). A GPL license would basically mean a stronger separation between the two code bases.

Once you pick a license, you can just upload the LICENSE.txt file to the root directory of the repo, and also consider adding an AUTHORS.txt file with your name and a list of whoever else contributed.

Hope you are having a blast in Spain!

Cheers,
Josiah
