William “MJ” Hill

I’m a Staff Software Engineer and Forward Deployed Engineer in Atlanta. I build production AI and data systems for high-stakes workflows, from stakeholder discovery through deployment and adoption.

I’m open to remote Staff and Senior software engineering roles, forward deployed work, applied AI and data-platform roles, and focused consulting engagements.

Selected work

  • Conduit Agent Experiment. Public source. I designed and built a Go pipeline that triages issues, researches the codebase, reviews its own implementation plan, writes the change, runs compile checks, and opens a draft pull request. Human approval checks remain in the delivery path. Architecture and experiment notes

  • PTSO. Independent project; source is private. I rebuilt a four-agent wardrobe system around an ontology and evidence graph after a valid message path produced an invalid recommendation. Moving domain rules out of model calls reduced typical latency from 20–40 seconds to about 6 seconds. Live demo · RenderATL deck

  • Space Force Unified Data Library connector. Meroxa work; source and restricted architecture are private. I was the primary engineer on the production Go connector that streamed U.S. and allied partner sensor data into the Unified Data Library under an Air Force Research Laboratory Phase II award.

  • Zocdoc AI evaluation. Employment work; source and internal materials are private. I built roughly 100 manually reviewed insurance mappings, a classical baseline, and a shared evaluation pipeline for classical, LLM, and hybrid approaches. I also developed an eight-part rubric and used it to improve coding-agent instructions in two interoperability repositories.

  • NBA Running Net Points. Client project; source is private. I built and deployed the play-by-play ingestion pipeline and interactive analysis. The model counts actual possessions and plots each player’s running contribution across a game.

How I work

My strongest work sits where engineering, customer constraints, and delivery meet: applied AI evaluation, agent systems, streaming data, federal software, technical education, and consulting. I write and speak about the decisions behind the systems, including where a model should stop and an enforceable contract should take over.
