The bar's search was a read-only indicator that mirrored the query rather than a text field. 1.3.0 replaces it with a native editable NSTextField (#85 by @alvst, landed as d106242 plus b66d10a through #104), so the typed text is drawn by AppKit itself and Return, the quick-paste numbers and the arrow keys keep working while typing.
I could not reproduce the blank indicator on macOS 27 here, so this is closed on the strength of the replacement rather than a verified fix on 26.6.2. If 1.3.0 still shows an empty field on Tahoe, reopen with a screenshot and whether the bar was opened by hotkey or from the menu, and I will look again. Thanks @sami-eljabali.
