ksni requests the name org.kde.StatusNotifierItem-PID-N, which a Flatpak sandbox may not own, so the tray failed to start. Inside a sandbox it now uses disable_dbus_name (registers with its unique name). The manifest adds --talk-name=org.kde.StatusNotifierWatcher and drops the stale comment saying notifications and the tray are not implemented.

Test

  • Built and installed the Flatpak locally, ran it with --background and run-in-background=true against a stand-in StatusNotifierWatcher on the session bus: the sandboxed app called RegisterStatusNotifierItem with its unique name.
  • make verify passes.

ksni owns the StatusNotifierItem-PID-N name the specification asks for,
and a Flatpak sandbox may not own it: the tray failed to start. Inside a
sandbox it now registers with its unique name, which the watchers
accept. The manifest grants talking to org.kde.StatusNotifierWatcher,
and its comment no longer says notifications and the tray are missing.
