Summary

  • Add a Codex plugin setup skill for MCP access and optional session recording, plus read-only status and targeted disconnect workflows.
  • Reuse the managed CLI runtime with separate Codex/Claude credential namespaces. Keep capture consent, native telemetry, and pinned conversation enrichment under the existing CLI.
  • Register the onboarding skill in Codex and preserve Claude's existing workflow.
  • Add explicit US/EU/self-hosted MCP selection using native Codex configuration, with a scoped helper to toggle only the bundled server. Preserve skills and avoid duplicate active Logfire connections.

Validation

  • 25 connection/runtime tests passed using published Logfire CLI 0.1.14, Codex 0.159.3, and Claude Code.
  • Real isolated marketplace installation and app-server lookup confirm the packaged onboarding skill is enabled.
  • All three capture modes, reconnect/token reuse, exporter conflict, read-only status, and removal tested against a synthetic local Platform API with real CLI/plugin management.
  • Native MCP tests cover regional endpoint replacement, reconnect, return to bundled US, consent and plugin-ID checks, and preservation of unrelated settings using local synthetic MCP servers.
  • 40 existing exporter tests, skill sync/validation, Ruff, and Claude marketplace validation passed.

Live browser OAuth and post-restart ingestion were not reverified for this new Codex workflow. No new hooks, model-provider changes, Gateway configuration, or releases.
