I'm Hashan Shalitha, a frontend engineer who enjoys turning complex requirements into elegant, intuitive digital experiences. My work brings together software development, teaching, and research into how we build with AI.

Building tools I actually need

How Online Web Toolkit grew: a Markdown-to-PDF CLI, documentation and presentation tools for my team, then a shared utility website.

Online Web Toolkit started as a command-line tool that converted Markdown into PDFs. I needed a simpler way to prepare documentation and create presentations to guide my team.

That small utility grew into a shared website for everyday work with Markdown, PDFs, presentations, and images. It gives me a place to apply my engineering ideas to practical problems and make the results useful to other people.
