Transient menu won't set/save the preferred options

If I open the git-link-dispatch menu and set an option like "Use commit" and then try to set or save the transient settings, it doesn't remember them.

I'd quite like to save "Use commit" as a default, for example.

I don't know much about transient, so I don't know what the issue is. I wondered whether the fact that the options are single characters like actions rather than prefixed by - or similar like Magit's options might be the reason, but that's nothing more than a guess.
